K-Tec BMW 3 series E30 45mm (3/1, 3/R) coilover street with rear strut
Description
What are the differences between a suspension with the standard separation of spring and damper and one with an integrated strut on the rear axle? In terms of everyday driving behavior, it makes no difference whether you choose the version with a spring strut or separate spring/damper. We have tuned both suspensions the same, so the driver doesn't really notice any difference. The advantage of the integrated strut version is that standardized cylindrical racing springs are also used on the rear axle, and there is a very large selection of them in various lengths and stiffnesses. There are only two different versions of the barrel-shaped spring, which sits separately from the damper on the upper wishbone. This gives ambitious drivers more options for finding a customized setup for their specific application with the version with a spring strut.
